| Bob Hackett (Sept 2017-Present) Bob Hackett received his B.A. in Music Education and teaching credential from California State University Northridge and has taught music for over 25 years. Prior to joining the AHS faculty, he was the Director of Bands at Moorpark High School for 15 years where the music program tripled in size and his bands consistently received superior ratings. Prior to that, he was Director of Bands at Ventura High School for five years where he was named Creative Teacher of the Year. Mr. Hackett was also named the 2005 Ventura County Director of the Year. He is an active clinician and an adjudicator for SCSBOA events and jazz festivals. As a performer, Mr. Hackett plays with the Gold Coast Wind Ensemble, Quintessence Jazz Orchestra, Equinox Tentet, Swing Shift Big Band and the Clyde Reisinger Big Band. He is a member of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association, California Band Directors Association, California Music Educators Association, and California Teachers Association. |
